Jonny was our chosen officiant for our wedding in July 2017. One of our closest friends actually discovered Jonny on the net, spoke to him and recommended him to us. After a false start with another officiant who was also very nice, but whose energy and location were a little mismatched with ours, we contacted Jonny. Both my (now) husband (! ) and I found Jonny to be warm, enthusiastic, supportive and absolutely in tune with our needs. After meeting once, he sent us a draft of a proposed ceremony which we accepted with very little change as it was very intuitive, positive and already close to perfect in terms of how we wished to express our commitment and our values. Jonny was great at walking us through the steps, coordinating with the event staff at our venue and being flexible. We were married on a cruise off Queen’s Quay, with the boat slowing down close to the Toronto Islands, where the ceremony was performed. Jonny had never performed a wedding in that setting before, however he adapted beautifully, and made us feel very at ease. We were very happy to be the first couple Jonny has married “at sea” (well, on a lake) and would recommend him to any couple looking for a joyful, organized and caring officiant – on land or on water.
